Who we are
Cuiselle Maison is operated by Veloran Labs (Pty) Ltd, a South African private company (registration 2026/533272/07). You can contact us at the email address below with questions about your information.
Information you choose to keep
Your records can include household details, recipes, ingredients and quantities, instructions, source links, import drafts and originals, Pantry items, shopping lists, meal plans, prepared-food portions and dates, and cooking history. Kitchen Memory keeps cooking context and the choices you make about it. Active cooking progress is held in memory while the app is running.
These records support the features you use. Household files are stored on your device. Automatic household cloud synchronisation and public hosted recipe links are not available. A household label does not create a shared online family account.
Photos, documents and recipe recognition
When you import a photo or PDF, Cuiselle can retain a copy of the original to help you review the recipe. Import drafts and interrupted incoming material can also remain on your device until handled through the available controls.
Check recognised text against the original, especially ingredients, quantities, allergens and directions. Handwriting and source quality affect results. Only import material you intend to keep on this device and have permission to use.
Android recognition uses Google ML Kit and associated Google components; iOS uses Apple Vision and platform PDF processing. Cuiselle passes retained local files to these processing tools and does not provide a cloud recognition upload service.
On-device recognition does not mean every component is offline. Google's ML Kit disclosure describes diagnostic and usage information such as device and app details, installation identifiers, performance and events. It covers current SDK versions; behaviour for the version used by Cuiselle still requires verification.
Websites and other connections
Importing a recipe URL requests the source website. If you choose to keep a recipe’s source image, the app also requests the image host, which may be different. Opening a source in a browser or choosing another app involves that provider, which may receive connection information such as your IP address and apply its own privacy policy, cookies or access rules. Not every website or document can be imported.
Cuiselle's own app analytics events are held in memory and have no app analytics network destination. Third-party diagnostics and operating-system or store services are separate.
Sharing and device permissions
Device sharing can make copies available to the apps or recipients you choose. Check the content, recipient and permission to share; a recipient's copy cannot be recalled by Cuiselle. Incoming sharing can retain material locally for review.
Camera, photo, file, microphone and speech-recognition access use device permission controls. You can manage these in your device settings; refusing access may prevent the relevant action. Kitchen dictation starts when you tap to speak and uses supported on-device recognition. Review the transcript before using it; you can type instead. Device permission is not consent to every form of third-party diagnostics.
Storage, backups and deletion
Device security, backups and access to an unlocked device matter. Selected sharing secrets use platform secure storage; this does not mean every household file has additional Cuiselle encryption.
Android backup rules exclude Kitchen Memory and specified sharing-secret preferences from cloud backup and device transfer. Other files may be included. Backup, restore and transfer behaviour varies by device and provider; complete recovery or cross-device migration is not guaranteed.
Available controls act on the record or feature they describe. Deleting a recipe does not necessarily remove retained originals, drafts, history, external copies or operating-system backups. There is no single complete erase, household export or universal restore workflow. Keep an independent copy of originals you need.
Uninstalling or clearing app data can destroy records. Please use the Support guide before destructive troubleshooting.
This website and email
This website has no login, contact form, newsletter, analytics script, embedded third-party media or application cookies. Its images and styles are served with the site. Cloudflare Pages is the selected service for hosting the public website; hosting processes connection requests, which can include IP addresses and requested pages. Hosting and email services can involve operational logs, provider backups and processing outside South Africa; we do not promise zero retention or exclusively South African processing.
The founder handles support and privacy enquiries at launch through support@veloranlabs.com, using Hostinger email. Email providers process your message and contact information. We use what you send to understand and respond to your enquiry, keep enquiry information only as needed for that purpose or an applicable legal obligation, and review it for deletion when that need ends. Provider backups can have separate lifecycles; complete deletion from them is not promised. We do not promise a general customer-support response time; privacy requests remain subject to applicable legal response requirements. Start with a short description rather than private photos or full household files.
Your privacy and other people
Cuiselle is designed for households internationally. The company's South African location does not remove privacy rights that apply under other laws. Consider the privacy of family members and other people before recording or sharing their information. The app does not provide child-specific online accounts or a parental-consent service; this does not remove any consent or other obligations that apply to the information you choose to keep.
Depending on the law that applies, you may have rights to access, correct or delete information, restrict or object to processing, or make a complaint to a regulator. This policy does not waive statutory rights. Send questions or requests about information held by Veloran Labs to the email address below; the founder handles these enquiries. Household files kept only on your device cannot be remotely retrieved, corrected or erased through this website.
